How Dogs by Debin's Dog Rehoming Service Works....

For years and years, I would rehome dogs on my own.  I found myself not wanting to burden rescues and shelters with yet another homeless dog.  After I would post a dog as "Found", I would personally fully Vet the dog, and then place them up for adoption. Oftentimes, I would wish there were a service to offer help when needed.  That is why we developed a program to help people that are kind enough to do the same!

  • Are you needing to rehome a dog but not wanting to place it in a shelter?
  • Are you seeking help with marketing the dog?
  • Can you hang onto the dog until a suitable owner is found?

These are just a FEW of the reasons to utilize our service!  Although we know every dog has a different story, we pride ourselves in marketing them to families that will be a good pairing.  Please read below to see how our service works.

Each dog must have the following with proof:  Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella vaccinations

Before the dog goes into it's new home, it must be heartworm tested, spayed/neutered and microchipped.  Dogs by Debin can provide these at the same time we are setting the dog up to market him/her for adoption.

A profile will be provided to complete as well.  If you have found the dog as a stray, we ask that you have:
Marketed the dog on Craigslist.org, contacted the shelter near where dog was found and proof you have adequately tried to find the owner, including having it scanned for a microchip.  After at least 5 days, please feel free to contact us to get the ball rolling to place the dog up for adoption.

After you have read this in it's entirety and completed the form at the end, please email DogsbyDebin@gmail.com with 2-3 photos of the dog and as much information as you you can about the dog, including what you have done to locate the owner (if a stray).  If the dog needs the vetting services listed above, we can help make that happen as well!  Otherwise, we encourage you to visit your local Veterinarian.  Like mentioned before, every dog is different so we will work with you to accommodate each person/dog's individual needs.

Are you still contemplating using our service?  GREAT!  Please keep reading so we can get started.

What our service does for you:
  • Marketing on countless websites for optimal exposure of the dog needing home
  • We provide pre-approved adoption applications that can be forwarded to you to set up a meet & greet at our facility during our business hours or we can set it up for you
  • We encourage you to attend our offsite adoption events or sit in our lobby with the dog on the weekends (pending dog's friendliness and your ability to handle him/her)
  • Once a potential adopter is identified, we will perform a dog-to-dog introduction in the safety of our adoption center with qualified staff (if the potential adopter has another dog)
  • If all goes well, we will then provide a contract to remove liability from you once the dog is in it's new home should anything happen
  • We require a safety net for the dog for adoption including a binding agreement that the dog has to come back to our care should it not work out with the new adopter

Does the above mentioned list make you feel more comfortable rehoming a dog so you are not going it alone?  We hope it does!  We will ask for your commitment should you choose to take advantage of our service.  A few of those commitments are as follows:
  • At anytime you are not to rehome the dog on your own once you have signed on with us
  • If you should find a qualified adopter, please send them to our site to complete an adoption application at DogsbyDebin.com
  • Pay a donation of $200 upfront if the dog is spayed/neutered, heartworm tested if 7moor older and vaccinated
  • Pay a donation of $300 upfront if the dog is not spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (7mo and older) and vaccinated and we will provide these services
  • At no time is the donation refundable
  • Adoption fee is set by Dogs by Debin and goes directly to us
  • Emergency surrender?  Sure, we can take a dog in during business hours with an appointment for a $2,000 emergency surrender
We can not guarantee that a home will be found but we can assure you we will do our best, including a professional photography session within 10-days of signing up for our services at no cost to you. Still interested?  Why wouldn't you be?  Visit FB.com/DogsbyDebin to like our page and read our reviews.  Although we never profess to be perfect, we offer top notch customer service and are readily available to contact so you never feel alone.

JotForm is a tool that allows us to write up our very own applications, agreements, etc.  We are then able to link it to our website.  The benefits don't stop there!  We can utilize the tool to have the information come to our email or we can also access the applications via the easy to use application on our smart phones.

Thoughts About AFTER You're Gone...

Friends, Family ~ Animal Lovers!

Have you given thought to what would happen to your pets' AFTER you move on in this life?  You may just have a few pets or one & think that your support group can manage it.  It is hard work & not every pet will have someone as lucky as Kahn in their life. We get stories like this all too often. With the burden of cost & time, your beloved pet(s) may end up in a crowded shelter or in the wrong home.  Here is Kahn's "Angel on Earth" plea to Dogs by Debin:

Kahn ~ Available soon at Dogs by Debin
"Greetings, a good friend of mine recently died and left his dog, Kahn, without a home. His brother was being transferred to Texas and couldn't take care of Kahn. They were going to immediately take him to a shelter. I volunteered to foster Kahn until they could find a home. But they have already moved to Texas and I have been left with Kahn. I have a very small 1 bdrm home and tiny back yard. Kahn needs more room as he is use to running in a very large yard. He is house broken and kennel trained. He is a beautiful AKC registered German Shepard just about to turn 3 years old.  I talked to his vet and he is current with all his shots. Very friendly and very nice dog. My landlord understands the situation and has agreed to let me keep Kahn until I can find a permanent home but, it's been over a month now and she really doesn't want the dog on the property as stated in my lease. So, while looking for a solution, another friend told me he had heard about your business. I really don't want to advertise on craigslist or in the newspaper and I know most shelters are overloaded. Can you possibly help me with my dilemma? I would be more than happy to make a donation to help with his care and your business expenses. Thanks so much, Greg"
